Bringing Holiday Cheer: 'Secret Santa for Seniors' at East Florida Eye Institute

The holiday season is a time of joy, giving, and community spirit. At East Florida Eye Institute, we are proud to embody these values through our annual 'Secret Santa for Seniors' program. Now in its thirteenth year, this initiative is a testament to our commitment to the seniors at the Council on Aging at the Kane Center’s Adult Day Club.

A Tradition of Giving

Each year, our team, led by Dr. Ronald Frenkel, comes together to ensure that the holiday season is bright and cheerful for seniors who might otherwise not experience the warmth of the festive season. "Our goal is to ensure that these wonderful members of our community feel loved, remembered, and celebrated," says Dr. Frenkel.

How It Works

Our office is currently adorned with a festive Christmas tree, but it's no ordinary tree. Hanging from its branches are various ornaments – trees, bells, stars – each representing a senior's holiday wish. We invite you, our valued community members, to be a part of this heartwarming tradition.

Join Us in Spreading Joy

Visit Our Office: Come by and select an ornament from our tree.

Gift Shopping: Use the ornament to guide your gift purchasing, taking advantage of the holiday sales.

Gift Return: Please return the gifts (wrapped or unwrapped) with the ornament tag to our office by December 20th.

A Heartfelt Impact

Apart from gift contributions, we also welcome monetary donations, which are tax-deductible. These funds go a long way in supporting the needs of the seniors we care for.
