Dr. Frenkel founded the East Florida Eye Institute in
1989 to bring state of the art diagnosis and treatment to the Treasure Coast,
specializing in the most advanced treatments for Macular Degeneration and
Glaucoma.
Dr. Frenkel is a Board Certified and fellowship trained
ophthalmologist. He earned his medical degree from Wayne State
University of Medicine where he was awarded numerous honors for his clinical
work. Dr. Frenkel interned at Harvard
Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. While at
Harvard he was made Clinical Fellow in Medicine. He completed his
Ophthalmology residency at Kresge Eye Institute. Before founding East
Florida Eye Institute, Dr. Frenkel returned to
Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary to
pursue advanced subspecialty fellowship training.
Dr. Frenkel is frequently sought for his expert opinion on
the research studies of ophthalmologists nationwide.
Dr. Frenkel is a Voluntary Professor of Ophthalmology,at Bascom Palmer
Eye Institute, University of Miami, School of Medicine. He is the only
Bascom Palmer staff member on the Treasure Coast. Dr. Frenkel is a Macular
Degeneration investigator.

Dr. Rosen joined the East Florida Eye Institute’s highly regarded treatment center in July 2011. Dr. Rosen obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He graduated summa cum laude from Northern Arizona University in 1998. He then completed a surgical internship at Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California. Dr. Rosen served as a Flight Surgeon at Naval Station Mayport in Jacksonville. Dr. Rosen has been honored with a Navy Commendation Medal and a Global War on Terrorism Service medal. In 2006, Dr. Rosen was nominated for Navy Flight Surgeon of the Year and in 2010 he was named Chief Resident of his Ophthalmology Residency Program; he was honorably discharged with the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Dr. Rosen completed his residency in ophthalmology at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia.

Dr. Seith joined East Florida Eye Institute as a Board Certified ophthalmologist in May 2011. Dr. Seith treats patients with macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and advanced glaucoma. She is participating in enrolling and treating patients in several of the clinical trials at East Florida Eye Institute.
Dr. Seith graduated from Yale University with honors in her major of biology and neuroscience, she was recognized with a Clarence W. Mendell Award. Dr. Seith continued her medical education at Albert Einstein School of Medicine where she began to focus her efforts in the field of ophthalmology. Dr. Seith performed her internship at Jersey Shore Medical Center. Dr. Seith completed her ophthalmology training at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
Dr. Seith is a member of the Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, The Treasure Coast Ophthalmology Society, and Temple BeitHayam in Stuart. |

T echnicians
East Florida Eye Institute boasts an extremely skilled
technical staff, consisting of Certified Ophthalmic Technicians, Certified
Ophthalmic Assistants and a Certified Orthoptist, with an average experience
level of more than 15 years. Our technicians are among the few in the
nation who have obtained certification by Duke University, DARC (The Digital
Angiographic Reading Center), EMMES and others on individual ophthalmic
instruments, such as OCT, digital fluorescein angiography, visual field
analyzers and scanning laser ophthalmoscopes.
Our technicians have an excellent understanding of key test areas, such as
fluorescein angiography, ultrasonography, muscle balance for double vision, and
blood flow analysis. Together they make a great team and provide the best
care to our patients.

As part of our comprehensive care, we offer our patients the convenience of an on-site Optical Shop -- Discount Designer Optical. Our experienced, licensed Optician is NCLE accredited, ensuring our patients receive expert, medically accurate optical care. We carry a full line of frames, from the latest designer trends and state of the art technology to sun wear and affordable frame and lens combinations.
